Pyoderma gangrenosum on the dorsum of a foot.A 70-year-old previously well woman presented with bloody diarrhea and an ulcerating lesion on her foot. Colonoscopy demonstrated that she had ulcerative colitis. This is the typical appearance of pyoderma gangrenosum - an irregular punched-out ulcer with a black margin, and pus in the base of the ulcer.
