fiogf49gjkf0d Dr Kenneth Binmoeller is currently Director of Interventional Endoscopy Services at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California.
He attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and completed residency training in internal medicine in 1987. He then attended Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon, where he completed fellowship training in gastroenterology in 1990. After fellowship training, he joined the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University Hospital at Cimiez in Nice, France.
In 1991 Dr Binmoeller was recruited by Dr Nib Soehendra to the University of Hamburg to serve as Deputy Director and Senior Consultant in the Department of Endoscopic Surgery. He remained in Hamburg for 7 years before relocating back to the United States to the University of California at San Diego (UCSD), where he was Director of Endoscopy and held a joint appointment as Associate Professor of Medicine and Surgery.
His particular research interests are in pancreaticobiliary endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasonography.
Dr Binmoeller is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the American Gastroenterology Association and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is also on the Editorial Board for Endoscopy. He has coauthored several books and has published over 100 papers.
