fiogf49gjkf0d Dr Orrin Barrow is currently a Senior Lecturer in Medicine in the Department of Medicine in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of the West Indies Mona Campus, Jamaica, and Senior Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist at the University Hospital of the West Indies.
Dr Barrow attended the University of the West Indies, Jamaica, where he completed his medical degree in 1964.
He has spent his entire medical career at the University of the West Indies, apart from a year at St. Thomas' Hospital, London, in 1968.
His particular research interests are related to the Functional GI Disorders.
Dr Barrow is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of England and Edinburgh, a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology.
He is also a member of a number of other professional organizations, and is a past President of the Association of West Indian Gastroenterologists, a past President of the Medical Association of Jamaica, and a past Chairman of the Medical Council of Jamaica.
